Here are 4 tips for a tip-top broker profile:

A professional headshot:

An up-to-date professional headshot is worth its weight in gold. Not only does it puts your best foot forward, but it also familiarizes the public with you…the current you. We recommend getting new headshots every few years. A couple of headshot tips:

  • Try to avoid kitschy poses. People want authenticity.
  • Always have a photo
  • Consider a fresh haircut or blowout just prior
  • Avoid ‘busy’ clothing
  • Ensure the image is high resolution
  • No logos or groups of people, please

An authentic bio:

People are looking for authenticity. So when it comes to your bio, consider things that support your professional image, but also your humanity. It is also crucial that this section is not left blank. Talk to your potential clients in this section and promote your skills, experience and passions.

Contact information:

Ensure that your contact information is up-to-date, and of course, not empty! If your information is listed on multiple sites, keep a list of those locations and update them in the event of changes.

Grammatically correct:

Along with the best foot-forward concept, ensure that you’re bio is free of spelling and grammatical errors. A tool like Grammarly makes this easy.

Relevant information:

With tools like Spacelist’s Engine, you can make your profile and website work harder for you. Engine allows you to seamlessly link and manage your listings from one place, your Spacelist account. You could hyperlink this feature to your profile to make it easy for your prospects to find your listings.
